Johnson is entering her first year at Montevallo after spending two seasons playing in the American Softball Association professional league. In 2018, Johnson was named to the ASBA All-Second Team. During her second year in the league in 2019, Johnson was named to the ASBA All-Star Team and All-Defensive Team.
Prior to her professional career, Johnson put together an incredible collegiate campaign at UNC Pembroke, a NCAA Division II institution and member of the Peach Belt Conference.
Johnson became the first player in the 29-year history of the UNC Pembroke's softball program to earn All-American distinctions three separate times throughout her career. The third baseman was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-American squad twice, while also earning Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-American team honors.
Johnson became the all-time leader in doubles at UNC Pembroke after recording her 48th career double during her senior season in 2018. While at Pembroke, Johnson was also named the Team MVP, twice. The former third baseman also earned the UNCP Female Athlete of the Year award.
Johnson received her Bachelor's Degree in Biology in 2018 from UNC Pembroke.
Volunteer Assistant Coach
Sydney Aguilar is in her first season as a volunteer assistant coach for the University of Montevallo softball program.
Aguilar was a member of the Falcons' inaugural softball team in the spring of 2014. She appeared in 34 games and started 31 contests for the Falcons while batting .275 and driving in 10 runs.
